If you are about to design a unified communications recording system then a difficult question may arise, namely what kind and number of licenses you should order.
In CARIN365 you can choose from two licensing methods.
The channel based licensing limits the number of the concurrent calls to be recorded. In quite many applications (typically in contact centers) it can provide an easy calculation and flexibility. Let assume that you want to record all the outbound and inbound calls with your clients but the recording of the internal conversations is not necessary. In this case you have to purchase an appropriate channel license pack that covers the maximum number of out- and inbound calls. You don’t need to bother with the possible number of extensions to be recorded.
With the new extension based licensing you can register any number of extensions in CARIN365, but only so many of them can be activated for recording as many extension licenses you purchased (video recording counts double). You do not need to worry about the number of the parallel running calls. The only administration work you have to do is to specify the status (active/ not to be recorded) and type (audio/ video) of each extension.
For both methods the managing of large amount of extensions is supported by bulk import.
